METROFOOD.BE is excited to announce the launch of two new open calls within the METROFOOD Research Infrastructure project. These open calls are designed to enhance food quality and safety by providing subsidized access to advanced metrology services. Projects that are well aligned with the aims of METROFOOD-RI and meet technical, scientific and ethical requirements will be eligible for access.
Open Call Highlights:
1. Platform for migration, hazard, and risk assessment of chemicals from Food Contact Materials (FCMs): This service supports the safe development and risk assessment of FCMs, offering modules for migration and exposure evaluation, hazard assessment, and risk compliance.
2. Physicochemical characterization of inorganic nanoparticles applied in food contact materials by electron microscopy, and evaluating their possible release into food by ICP-MS/ICP-OES: Focused on the characterization and safety assessment of nanoparticles in FCMs, this service includes detailed physicochemical analysis and migration evaluation.
Who Can Benefit?
These calls are open to researchers, universities, industries involved in food packaging, and regulatory bodies. They provide a unique opportunity to access top-tier scientific support and infrastructure.
Application Details
Applications are open from June 10, 2024, to October 1, 2024, at 5 PM. For more information and to apply, visit our Open Calls page.
